Magdiely Pena, 27, is reunited with her 5-year-old cat Princess after it was rescued from her apartment in the Johnsonia building by Fitchburg firefighter Ted Lillie on Tuesday, after a 6-alarm blaze gutted the building late Monday night. The cat was handed over by Kate Crochetiere, 24, of Fitchburg (right) who cared for the cat until the owner was found.

Firefighters from Fitchburg and surrounding towns battled at 6-alarm fire that gutted the historic Johnsonia building at 520 Main Street in Fitchburg that had 47 units of condos and apartments. Nobody was injured.
