Memorial Day in Leominster--Monday, May 30, 2011

Lt. Col. John Barrette, USAF presents the Medal of Liberty to Helen Hill of Leominster, a Gold Start Mother, for her son who died in the Vietnam War during the Memorial Day Ceremony at Memorial Circle in Carter Park in Leominster. The Medal of Liberty is given to any Massachusetts man or woman who died in action or if died from wounds received in action.
